A security operations centre is people watching, not a product you install. Detection only matters if someone is on the other end of the alert at 2am.
What the SOC actually watches
Endpoint telemetry, identity and sign-in activity, firewall and network traffic, and Microsoft 365 audit logs. Sensors are tuned to your environment across the first thirty days, which is what stops the noise that makes teams ignore alerts.
What happens when something is found
Analysts triage and validate before you hear anything. Confirmed malicious activity is contained immediately, then escalated to your named contact with what happened, what was stopped and what you need to decide. You are not handed a dashboard and left to interpret it.
Where the boundary sits
We are not a replacement for your insurer, your lawyer or your own incident decisions. We contain, evidence and advise. Regulatory reporting and disclosure calls stay with you, and Compliance and Governance is where we help you prepare for them.
Common questions
Do you replace our antivirus?
No. Endpoint protection is one of the sensors feeding the SOC. We manage and tune it as part of the service.
What counts as an incident?
Anything an analyst confirms as malicious or as unauthorised access. Failed phishing attempts and blocked traffic are reported in the monthly summary, not escalated at 2am.
